It loves the sun and attracts lots of pollinators.<\/p>\n<p>Bee Balm is used by numerous tribes, including the Blackfoot, Cherokee, and Teton Dakota for a variety of purposes. The Blackfoot used Bee Balm as an antiseptic for skin infections, while the later tribes used it for stomach ailments. The Ojibwa also used the leaves and flower heads of the herb for soothing fevers and convulsions, while the Chippewa and Meskwaki tribes used it as a cold remedy. The Cherokee and Teton Dakota needed Bee Balm to alleviate stomach problems like indigestion and cramps.
