Dr. Matthew Stanard and I worked together to recreate an old web-based project, originally developed in 2007, for use in his HIS 450 course. The files were no longer available online and were previously used in class as a paper assignment. We needed to recreate the feel of the original assignment while adding additional functionality at the same time.
One of the issues that we wanted to address in the original project was where students had immediate access to both the problem and the answer on the same page. This led to the temptation to review the problem, select the best result from the options, and craft their response accordingly. While designing the new version, we decided to separate the assignment from the results so that they could be delivered after the assignment was completed. The current version (linked below) is the most recent revision, created to be responsive (viewable on any device) and Canvas compatible.
