“For my research project, I wanted to investigate if there was a correlation between working memory and school readiness in preschoolers. I believe it is important to determine indicators that would allow for better predictors for school readiness in order to target children that may potentially need help or are developmentally delayed. In order to test this, I needed to figure out which variables I needed to control for. As a result, in addition to a working memory task and a school readiness test, I included tests for measure attention and a general cognitive test.”
