Electrochemical Liquid Phase Epitaxy

Electrochemical Liquid Phase Epitaxy (ecLPE) is a more refined version of the ecLLS growth system. In this system, the gallium is compressed nearly flat in an etched well on a layer of indium tin oxide. This allows for much greater control and ideally higher quality films, but at the cost of added complexity. Our lab is attempting this method using a 3D printed cell made from co-polyester, a chemically resistant plastic.
