In my upper-level biology courses, I take students on field trips to a variety of destinations. These include: St. Catherines Island off the coast of Georgia, the Jones Ecological Research Center at Ichauway in southwest Georgia, the Coweeta Hydrologic Lab and the Highlands Biological Station in western North Carolina, Zoo Atlanta, and Black’s Bluff in Rome, Georgia. The trips are great learning experiences, we visit fascinating natural areas, they build camaraderie among the class, and we have lots of fun.
