Swamp Milkweed

Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) is a perennial wildflower native to most of the US, and is known for attracting pollinators. It’s also typically used for wetland rehabilitation.

Traditionally, the roots of Swamp Milkweed have been used as a carminative, a substance that assists with digestion discomfort. The roots are also used to help with asthma, and have been historically known and used externally to heal babies’ navels.
