The Downy Sunflower (Helianthus mollis), a part of the aster family, is an herbaceous perennial native to central and southeastern US used for butterfly or native plant gardens.  

Known to traditionally treat abdominal pain, fevers, and other respiratory issues. Commonly, it has been made as a tea to treat these ailments and otherwise turned into poultices for topically treating sores and small wounds.
