Anise Hyssop is a native North American plant that has been recognized historically as a treatment for fevers, respiratory and digestive issues, and as a topical application for burns. It’s been known to have been used by the Cree, Cheyenne, and Ojibwa tribes for fevers and respiratory conditions.

It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties and, as a part of the Lamiaceae (mint) family, shares a lot of the same antioxidant compounds.
