New England Aster

New England Aster (Symphytotrichum novae-angilae) is an herbaceous perennial with a late-blooming nature, recognized by its bright colors and ability to attract all types of pollinators.

The most common traditional role was being used as a remedy for digestive issues. The leaves could be chewed or made into a tea for stomachaches or any indigestion discomfort. The crushed leaves and flowers were also used topically for wounds, burns, or other skin irritations.
